A Digital Supplier is somebody who sells digital products and offers services online to people who need help with solving a specific problem.
It's crazy because "digital product seller", "info product seller", "online service provider" or "agency owner" would be fitting terms for somebody who sells digital products and offers services online.
Unfortunately that is no longer good enough as these are terms that have been hijacked by grifters, scammers and low quality service providers.
These terms are shunned upon by your average Joe who believes everything is a scam or worse - does not see the value in freelancers, agency owners and digital products.
The Transformation Is Everything
Let's get this straight:
A Digital Supplier (seller of digital products and services) is rewarded once their ideal customer (buyer of digital products and services) has been fully served.
Fully served means: the buyer has achieved their desired outcome.
To fully serve a buyer (or to get a potential buyer to even become a buyer in the first place) a seller must have a deep understanding of the buyer's current situation.
This is the best way to help anybody.
This is how we can "bridge the gap".
Taking our audience, our prospects, our customers and our clients from their current situation to their desired situation is how we provide a transformation in the digital space.
Getting it right means our advice, our recommendations, our products and our services have the ability to provide a clear transformation in the lives of others.
Getting it wrong means giving the wrong advice or poor and untested recommendations, or creating horrible products or delivering a weak service.
This is how people that sell things online get a bad reputation.
The Rewards of Service
Our success is won or lost by our ability to serve others - we are interdependent - and it is just as impossible to succeed without serving others as it would be to live in our modern world without others serving us
Our rewards in life will and must always be in exact proportion to our service
It is the misunderstanding of this single law… which is responsible for 90% of the frustration and discontent we see around us.
Most of your success comes from helping people.
What does it actually mean when we say "helping people" though?
Easy.
Anything that someone cannot do for themselves or cannot be bothered to do for themselves.
This is the easiest way to understand service, designing products and the rewards of service.
You can understand why there are unlimited rewards that come from building digital products and services that solve problems.
Most people are uninformed, misinformed, lazy or lack the energy.
You'd be surprised how much people would pay for someone to take them to their dreamland, their desired outcome, their ideal lifestyle.
Most people do not have the resources to seek out the necessary information or the required willpower or energy to get what they want.
Serving People Online
Serving people online - or selling things to people online - is as simple as having a skill that they do not have or that they are not bothered to learn for themselves.
You need to know this will always be true.
People that never manage to sell much (whether offline or online) put obstacles in their own way when they start to ask themselves questions or make statements like:
"other people already sell my service, what makes me so special?"
"there are people charging less than I am AND their product looks better than mine"
"ok I have something to sell, but how do I get people to buy?"
These are all valid questions, but I would like to rephrase these into positive, affirming statements:
"other people may do what I do, but NOBODY can do it like I do"
"I don't care if others charge less, I'll provide more value for my customers and my clients, which will always be worth the higher investment"
"I have to get myself in front of my target audience as much as possible, somebody will buy"
Even if you don't think these statements are true right now, they will serve you much better than the questions and statements that typically cloud your mind.
Those questions and statements are negative, lead to self doubt and stop you before you even get started.
They are the type of questions and statements that keep people poor and selfish...
